Tiffany technique
It appeared in XX century and is called as its creator?s name - Luis Tiffany . This type of glass painting is made from the glass pieces cutted by a draft. All the glasses are enchased by cooper foil and soldered together afterwards. Using this technique you can fill large opens of any form and any volume.
Fusing
Fusing glass is made in special kilns by the temperature above 800 degrees. Cutted pieces of colored glass are laid over each other and put into the kiln to obtain a very rich surface finish. This technique provides unusual decorative effect of the glass making it perfect for modern interior.
Painting on glass
Fragments of glass paintings made in different techniques could be painted by special colors. These paints are fixed in a kiln with very high temperature, becoming firm and sunfast. This technique makes the glass painting more expensive but it?s worth it becoaz the glass looks extremely rich and well decorated.
Technique of brass
This kind of glass painting is made using the brass broach. It could have different section drawings. Other kinds of glass paintings could be framed by brass broach too. This technique is one of the firmest techniques. It allows to made glass paintings of almost unlimited sizes.
Glass painting and furniture decorating in technique of glass tessera
To make a glass tessera it needs the small pieces of colored glass of different forms (square, for example). These pieces are laid down the transparent silicate glass or nontransparent firm surface. Joints between pieces are floated by cement composition that could be colored. This technique is used for production of glass paintings, lamps, tabletops. The undertone of such a glass tessera looks like favrile.
Thermodeformation
Flat fused glass is reloaded into the kiln and made needed form. This method is used for production of furniture panels, lamp parts, decorative sculptures and other items of interior.
